Perks of being a single child

Just to clarify #1: No, I don’t mean my relationship statues although that would be accurate as well.

Jtc #2: My brother is still very much alive, he’s just staying with a friend to celebrate their first week of summer holiday.

Even though I don’t want to be a single (or is it only?) child forever (who’d play Mario Cart with me!?) I have noticed the occasional perk:

♣ having the ice cream tub all to myself

♣ getting to watch Sex and the City and Pretty Woman whenever I want

althooooough there is a slight downside:

♣ when mom’s off to work I can crank up the music as loud as I want and sing at the top of my voice (there has been the occasional complaint from the neighbors though…..

Baby Steps

So these last few weeks have been kind of very much not fun (understatement of the year) and even though every day makes me feel like a slug going up hill, I plow on restlessly, because I have to. There’s no other option. Therefore in the spirit of positive reinforcement I’ve made a list of all the things I have accomplished over the last few days (small and pathetic as they may be) without Dad’s help.

Answers to Questions You Never Asked.

What time did you get up this morning?

Freaking 5:34 AM.

This insomnia has got to stop.

How old would you be if you didn’t know how old you are?

I look like a 12 year old, think like an 8 year old and act like a 5 year old.

Where did your last kiss take place and with whom?

How to successfully break my spirit one piece at a time

Oh my gosh I’ve missed you guys so much!!

I know it’s only been a week and you probably haven’t even realized yet that I was gone but daaaang last week was brutal!

Let me tell you why.

You see, every year our graduating classes have to participate in a horrendous ancient Latin project that takes up about 2 months of our school year and ends with a trip to Rome.

Things I do that apparently annoy my brother.

My brother is a very fascinating creature… In other words he’s the exact opposite of your’s truly.

He’s extroverted.

He’s hilarious.

He’s good looking.

He’s self confident.

He gets good grades.

He’s artistic.

(It’s amazing I don’t get jealous *cough* *cough*)

We get on really well though and even if I’d never tell the perfect little biscuit I love him with all my heart.

Me This Month .September 2015.

A Me This Month on a Listless Tuesday day.

Oh when will the craziness end!

My book this month:

Lord Of the Rings Kindle(See what I did there tongue )

Honestly I’m surprised, I started reading Lord of the Rings simply because I was fresh out of reading material and didn’t  want to do my homework just yet.

What to do when stuck in an afternoon slump.

In case any of you were wondering (I don’t blame you if you didn’t wink ) my “friend” hasn’t called back yet…

Did you know I walked along an unknown highway for an hour in the dark  IN A FOREIGN COUNTRY (class trip to France… boyoboy do I have stories tell…..) with her and then promised never to tell anyone in our family about our little *ahem* adventure?
