Questions beyond questions with the occasional answer sprinkled in between

Hello, good people! What have you been you to today?

As you may know today is Tuesday and Tuesdays equal checklists and bullet points and numbers and letters and ratings and top 5s and- well, in short, listing things! Since it’s been a slow week over here in my corner of the world I decided to do this fun little question answer survey thingy.

Hope you have a wonderful Tuesday bigsmile

1.What are your favorite smells?

Coffee and cinnamon. smile

2. Can you go a whole day without caffeine?

Well I caaaaaan, but I wouldn’t be very happy about.

coffee, coffee, coffee(You know how much I like me some coffee)

3. What song did you last listen to?

I like listening to music while working on a post and right now I’m listening to Pretty Hurts by Beyoncé.

4. Do you have a crush on anybody?

Gurl, when do I not have a crush on someone. The problem though is nobody be crushing back.

5. If you could choose two colors to wear for a whole year, what colors would you choose?

Eeerm purple and turquoise I guess?

Purple for the winter season because it’s warm and comfy color which is exactly what I need to fend off the chilly, drizzly weather. (Also I’m told it goes surprisingly well with my hair…)

and turquoise for when the sun comes out because *insert plausible reason here* and it’s pretty.

6. Can you sew?

Only if I really, really have to.

7. Go do the Kinsey scale test, what number result did you receive?

A who the what now?

8. Do you curse a lot?

More than I care to admit. It depends on who I’m with, but still, I drop the f-bomb waaay to often. Definitely something I need to work on.

9. When was the last time you had a pint of beer?

Never. Even though I’m legally allowed to drink here in Austria I just really, really don’t like the taste of beer. Or anything alcoholic for that matter.

10. Is there a certain food you often crave for no reason?

Is “I want you therefore I shall eat you” not reason enough?

11. What was the last book you purchased?

Well not a book per se, more of a notebook if we’re being totally honest. But it had glitter and doughnuts and I couldn’t resist.

(Ain’t she a beaut?)

12. Where was your last vacation?

It wasn’t exactly a vacation because my mom had to work, but London! (I know same as last year but this time my brother came as well and the two of us had loads of fun simply exploring London, visiting museums and buying the occasional somethin’ somethin’.)

13. Did you ever play seven minutes in heaven?

I do not know what this game is and I don’t think I wanna know. I get the feeling it’s kinda nasty….

14. Have you ever broken a bone? If so, how did it happen?

Have I ever!? Boy lemme tell ya, in my 19 years of life experience I’ve broken ma bones 3 times!

Gather round kids, this may take a while.

Once when I was about 3ish years old. Reason: It was my mission to try and push a laundry basket full of cuddle toys up into the little tree house thingy at the top so my friend and I could play with them. My friend, seeing that I was having a bit of a hard time decided the best way to help me was being sliding down and pull up the basket.

This might have been a good idea in theory but now straining under the weight of the teddy basket and my helpful yet slightly misguided friend, I decided the only way to avoid getting smushed was by getting off.

Again, a good idea in theory but…. naive little me hadn’t added the height of the slide to her calculations. So there I go, clambering over the edge of the slide in full faith, only to find the ground further off than I had expected. Suddenly I was falling, for a surprisingly long time, before hitting the ground and breaking my arm.

The next incident happened when I was about 13 years old. Reason: I slipped on a sock during gym lesson while frantically trying to escape a vicious girl with a mean throw stalking towards me, ball in hand, with nothing but my demise on her mind. I was saved getting hit by a ball, but broke my foot instead. (Dodge Ball. I still get nightmares. Those 13 year olds were ruthless!)

And last but not least the time I broke my other arm when I was 14 (again, during gym lesson). Reason: we were playing some silly tag game where one had to jump over another person’s leg to be “saved” from the catcher, and being the lucky b*tch that I am I jumped over someone else’s legs just as I was being tagged, causing me to topple over, black out and ultimately breaking my arm.

15. How do you like your eggs?

In my cookies.

Cookie(Exhibit A.)

16. What was your last argument about and who with?

Let me think, I’m pretty sure I can say with my brother but what was it about……?

Ah yes.

This happened 2 days ago when I tentatively approached his room and asked if he wanted to share the last few scopes of ice cream. As expected he was in a foul mood and snapped at me to just eat it already and close the door when I leave. Naturally I couldn’t just let his attitude slip by unnoticed (I mean what else are sisters for?) so I was all well excuuuuse me for being considerate, I’ll refrain from doing so in the future! I turned on my heels (a feat I had perfected over many years of sibling rivalry) and stormed out of his room leaving the door wide open (naturally). I then finished off the ice cream while watching Sex and the City. And that was that. My brother never knew what hit him.

Questions: Your turn! What song did you last listen to? How do you like your eggs? Tell me everything! bigsmile

  1. I like my eggs in my cookies too, but as to weather I would put a cookie on my kindle like in that picture… well, I’m sure it’s seen worse. I’m surprised I haven’t broken it yet. I do tend to break things.
Oh, and I think the last song I listened to was one of the Bach inventions, but which one, I can’t remember. Or was it the Chieftains? Bach, Chieftains… same thing.

Hahaha my brother’s the same! Do you use the normal kindle or the paperwhite?
Wow you always listen to such sophisticated music, but I agree that Bach is kinda awesome :) I’m embarrassed to admit I don’t know the other guy though ? do you play an instrument?

      • The Chieftains were a group that did Celtic music. Actually, I don’t know if they still exist, but I’m kinda thinking they don’t. Yeah, I don’t really listen to normal people music, mostly just classical and celtic. My aunt sneers at my music choices, but hey, even if it’s not the latest thing, it’s what I love.
Yes, I do play an instrument; piano. I love to play Mozart, Bach, and oh, let’s not forget joplin. Joplin is so much fun. I just started my first Chopin piece, and I am loving it, too. How about you, do you play any instruments? Piano is not very hard in the beginning, compared to most instruments, I’d say.
Oh yes, my Kindle.. I think it is the second model they ever made. I love it.

        • Cora

Oh that’s so cool! How did you become interested in Celtic music?
Nope, I don’t play any instruments at the moment. I did play the flute in elementary school and then guitar in high school but I dropped both.
Yep, I love my Kindle too! It’s like having a tiny library in your pocket :D

          • I guess I got interested in Celtic music because my Mom has always listened to it. There’s lots of Irish on my Dad’s side of the family, so maybe that’s why I was drawn to it. Unfortunately, there isn’t much Celtic music written for the piano, but if I ever saved enough money, I think I would buy a Hammered Dulcimer, an instrument much used in Celtic music.

  2. That’s whip cream you have on that coffee! *steals it* #WillDieForWhipCream

    • Cora

Ohohohoho I feel you, however, fun fact this ain’t whipped cream, my dear, this is milk foam :P #BlowsYourMind
